Bridgend Louisiana Partnership

July 06, 2015

The Bridgend Louisiana Partnership are in town again!  2015 is the seventh year the team have come from Louisiana to work in the Bridgend County schools and perform free concerts in the area.  Redhead AV are proud to support the Bridgend Lousiana partnership, supplying all the PA equipment, sound engineering expertise and technical planning for the week of events.

This year the First West Band performed in Porthcawl Pavilion, Maesteg Town Hall, Bridgend Recreation Centre, the Duke of Wellington in Cowbridge,  five Comprehensive schools around Bridgend and a number of churches around Bridgend - all in the space of seven days!  The band was joined by a team of professional extreme athletes called Team Impact, who perfomed crazy stunts like snapping baseball bats over their legs and smashing through walls of concrete with their heads!

The techy bit: The setup included EAW KF730, SB730 and SB1000 speakers for that extra low down punch.  A Yamaha M7CL console provided for all the FOH and monitor mixes - connected to a wi-fi router and Airfader Server, each member of the band was able to control their own monitor mixes remotely.  Shure radio systems enabled the guitarists and sax player to go wireless, with a combination of Shure KSM9 and Beta 87 radio microphones for the singers.  Sennheiser radio in-ear monitors completed the setup for complete flexibility and mobility.  For the smaller venues we used Logic Systems CA20 speakers with ND215 subs.
